On the cessation of the National Security Entry-Exit Registration System (NSEERS) program
ISNA welcomes the cessation of the National Security Entry-Exit Registration System (NSEERS) program. Started in 2002 as part of the War on Terrorism, this program was based on ethnic and religious profiling of immigrants coming from certain countries and unfairly registered them in government databases.
We are grateful to the administration officials in DHS and the many national organizations who persisted in ensuring that this obsolete registration program has been fully shutdown.
