ISNA Condemns Killings by Syrian Regime

The Islamic Society of North America condemns in the strongest possible terms the killing of Syrian citizens by their own government. ISNA condemns the use of lethal force including the use of chemical weapons and consider such acts crimes against humanity. We urge all governments and people of conscience to exert maximum pressure on the Syrian regime to immediately cease such attacks and any form of repression that violates the rights of Syrian citizens to live their lives without fear. We urge all to join hands with ISNA and other organizations in offering humanitarian assistance to those affected by the violent actions of the Syrian regime. ISNA joined the Syrian American Medical Society, Syrian Relief and Development, Muslim Public Affairs Council and Islamic Relief USA at a press conference at the National Press Club in Washington, DC, on Thursday, August 22, to strongly condemn this chemical weapons attack and to raise awareness about this massive killing of mostly children and women.
