We continue to be deeply disturbed by the ongoing atrocities in Syria. The recent cruel and inhumane use of chemical warfare including sarin gas and other violent attacks on innocent civilians over the years by the Assad regime have led to hundreds of thousands of lives lost and millions of people being displaced. We urge the UN to take swift action to bring this tragedy to an end.
We urge ISNA members to contact their Congressional leaders to give more attention to what the UN has called the “worst humanitarian disaster of our time [and] has caused untold suffering for Syrian men, women and children.”
