ISNA Offers Prayers For the Victims and Community of the Hate-Motivated Shooting at a Kansas Jewish Center

(4/14/14, Plainfield, IN) The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) today offered its prayers and support for the victims and community of the recent hate-motivated shooting that led to three deaths at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City.
According to Southern Poverty Law Center, the suspect was a long-time anti-Semite who belonged to white supremacist organizations.
In a statement, ISNA President Imam Mohamed Magid said:
“Our thoughts and prayers go out for the victims and families of this tragic shooting at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City. Extremism and hate-motivated actions have no place in our society. We stand in solidarity with the Jewish community and people of other faith traditions in challenging hate and intolerance that feeds these unjustified acts of violence.”
