ISNA’s 50th Anniversary: Your Help is Needed

The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) is proud to be celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year, with the Grace of Allah and the unending support of members and well wishers.  The annual convention in Washington, DC over the Labor Day weekend, August 30th-September 2nd, 2013, will be a commemorative one. The 50th anniversary is an occasion to honor our past, and be grateful to those who have paved the way, even as we envision the future and look forward to what the next 50 years will bring.  From our roots in the founding of the Muslim Students Association of the United States and Canada in 1963 to our present service to Muslims and America, we are assembling our story.  Your help is crucial in this endeavor. Help us further enhance our archive, and we will share the results with you.  Please share with ISNA what you may have by way of photos, documents or artifacts that depict significant moments in the last 50 years of MSA and ISNA.  This how you can do that:
  1. Please send a note to sabas@isna.net explaining in a few words what you have to share.  We will write back to advise you how and where to send the material.  We can return originals, if you wish, or hold them in our archives for safe keeping.  You decide.
  2. For pictures, please give a brief description of the event and participants in the photo.
  3. For documents or artifacts, please provide any available information to help us catalog them appropriately and accurately.
We look forward to receiving your record of our shared history as we acknowledge our pioneers and their achievements.
